At least 50 new bands will be added to the lineup for this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals tomorrow (April 23).
Fans can tune in to Radio 1 from 7 tomorrow evening, when Huw Stephens will have the bulk of the announcement plus a live session from The Horrors.
The festivals, which take place over the August bank holiday weekend, have already announced headliners Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, Paramore and Blink-182.
They are joined by Vampire Weekend, Jake Bugg, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Courteeners, Bombay Bicycle Club, Disclosure and many more across the weekend.
Reading and Leeds’ official Twitter and Facebook accounts confirmed the announcement will include a half-century of acts, and last week released an updated poster which included positions on the lineup to be filled.
Unannounced acts that have either self-confirmed or hinted at playing include Brody Dalle, Palma Violets, Papa Roach, Blood Red Shoes, Young Guns, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Darlia, The Family Rain, The Orwells, Childhood and Wovenwar. It is unclear if all these acts will be included in tomorrow’s announcement.
Tickets for Reading are available here, or for Leeds are available here.
